Modular Pyrolysis
Waste Bioenergy Ltd is evaluating modular pyrolysis technologies from specialist technology providers as part of its development work in biomass valorisation and biochar.
The approach is designed around the conversion of suitable biomass residues into biochar, with feedstock preparation adapted to the characteristics of each biomass source.
Suitable Biomass Residues → Feedstock Assessment → Appropriate Preparation → Modular Pyrolysis → Biochar → Soil Applications
Depending on the feedstock, preparation may include drying, size reduction or pelletisation. Not all biomass requires pelletisation.
Potential applications of appropriately characterised biochar include soil improvement, water and nutrient management, agricultural resilience and long-term carbon storage.
